Description:
Friend is a happy boy who hopes to finally know what a home feels like. Before he was brought to us, he had lived his entire life in a barn. He had very little socialization with people, and he had also been picked on by other dogs. He can be quite nervous with new settings, but is adapting well to the environment and routines here after a lot of patience. He walks very well on a leash, keeps his bed clean, and loves to be next to you getting attention! He is very excited by toys, and he is a heavy chewer; he will need to be taught what he cannot chew in a home. He is not housetrained and will need a patient person with the time to gently teach him how to be a house dog. He is friendly with other dogs, but we do think he may do best as the only pet in the home as he can become overwhelmed. He is known to chase small animals and cats. We are also open to a foster-to-adopt placement for Friend so you can make sure he's a good fit in your home!
