Cats and kittens come and go at the shelter on a daily basis. We do our best to keep the pictures current, but it is always best to contact the shelter directly or pop in for a visit with the animals to see who is still actually available. Every year our foster homes are responsible for saving the lives of more than 200 cats and dogs. Without them, the cats and kittens featured below would never have the opportunity for a second chance.

Boots a 7 year old neutered male Himalayan mix and Danue a 9 year old neutered male shorthair tabby are looking for a new home together. Both of these boys are very sweet, affectionate and easygoing. They were surrendered to the shelter because their owner found they could no longer care for them.
We just had Tommy neutered!
Digger is a 2 - 3 year old neutered male who arrived in early March. He is a larger cat with a very friendly, curious personality. He likes kids, but would prefer to be the only pet in the home.
Tommy is an easygoing, mellow adult male shorthair who arrived from Bruce Mines. He may get along with another feline in the home, but will not tolerate a canine housemate.
Horton is a quiet, docile 8 - 10 year old male who arrived as a stray. He is sweet and affectionate cat who gets along with other pets and kids. He arrived in fairly poor shape, riddled with fleas, balding and quite thin. He is now well on the road to a happier, healthier life, all he needs now is you.
Hobo is a talkative adult male shorthair who arrived as a stray. He seems to have a pretty mellow, easygoing demeanor. He likes other cats, but tends to play rough.
Little Stripe is a sweet, somewhat shy 4 year old spayed female shorthaired tabby. She was adopted briefly, but the existing cat in the home wasn't too pleased about her being there. She would like a quieter home without dogs or busy young children. If you're looking for a quiet, lovable feline companion, Little Stripe may be for you.

April is a very sweet, affectionate and playful 1 1/2 year old female medium hair who was left in the after hours drop off with a note and her four 7 week old kittens who have all found homes.
Glorya is a lovely 5 - 6 year old spayed female Calico who is looking to be your lap cat! She is a quiet, easy going lady who for the most part enjoys spending her days lounging by the window. She isn't too fond of other pets, but may be tolerant of a quiet feline companion if they respect her personal space.
Peppermint Patty is a very affectionate 4 - 6 year old spayed and declawed female shorthair who was left in the after hours stray drop off. She is tolerant of the other cats in the shelter, but we can't say for certain how she gets along with other pets.
Homer is a very handsome, mellow, distinguished gentleman of a cat. He is neutered and declawed and perfectly content to spend his time lounging around. He arrived as a stray in the after hours drop off, so we have no history on him, but get the impression that he prefers to be the only pet in the home.
Horton has recently been neutered!!
Suzy is a very sweet, quiet older female longhair who had been hanging around a residence in the downtown area for several months. She finally made her way into the home, but the existing cats were not ok with the new comer, so she was turned into the shelter. We believe she is between 8 and 10 years old, and has a very nice disposition.
Kitty is a friendly, good natured young male whose owner was no longer able to keep him. He likes other cats and kids, but isn't too sure about dogs.

Big Boy is looking for a home where his quiet, timid nature will be appreciated. He is a 4 1/2 year old neutered and declawed male Maine Coon mix whose owner suddenly passed away. He is very sweet and affectionate, but does need a little time to adjust to new surroundings.
Skipper is a playful, sociable young male who arrived as a stray. He seems to be fine with other cats and kids, we just can't say for sure how he does with dogs.
Ralf is a unique looking young male who was brought to the shelter because his owner discovered they were allergic to cats. He is a feisty cat who may be better suited to older kids, and may need to be the only pet.
Sally Cat is a quiet, petite spayed female who was abandoned at the shelter with no information. She is a little timid, but we think once she's in the right home she will come out of her shell.
Fiona was sadly abandoned on the side of the road in a carrier with another cat back in March. She is a friendly, inquisitive cat who likes to cuddle. She might be ok sharing a home with another feline, though may need a few days to adjust.
Peeka is a sweet spayed and declawed female who was abandoned at the shelter with no information. She is very affectionate, and loves attention, she just isn't comfortable in the busy shelter environment so tends to hide.
This pretty little lady was found in the east end and left in the after hours stray drop off. She is around 2 years old, medium haired and has a very nice personality.

Bug is a sweet, playful 5 - 6 month old female medium haired beauty. She was left in the after hours drop off with no information. She seems to be ok with other cats and loves attention!
Diesel is an 8 - 10 month old recently neutered male who came from Blind River. He is a very sweet, affectionate cat but is very shy and tends to hide. Meet Diesel in person to see just how lovable he is.
Remi is a friendly, talkative 1 year old male who was found loose in the after hours stray drop off room. He may have been living on his own outside for a while before coming to the shelter.
Bella 1 is a friendly, petite female shorthair who came from Deubreville with her 2 kittens. She is a playful, affectionate cat who likes kids.
Bella 2 is a friendly, chatty little female who arrived as a stray. She is around a year old and still has plenty of that kitten playfulness.
